ONE SLIGHT HITCH Reviews & News!

Audiences are giving standing ovations to ONE SLIGHT HITCH at the Human Race Theatre Company!

I play Ryan, the hitchhiking writer who accidentally crashes his ex’s wedding day. The play is part romantic comedy, part door-slamming farce, and a big part autobiography for comedian and playwright Lewis Black. On April 20th, he even came to see it and have a talk-back!

It’s been a blast to work on such a wild play with these incredible people. Critics have been having fun too…

“Hilarious… Curtis masters the wayward drifter in search of a plot for a book about his life’s adventures. Ryan might be a little dimwitted but has a really sharp sense of humor.”

Dayton Local.com

“Superb… Alex Curtis is cool, buff (we see him in a towel much of the time) and part of the ‘who’s on first,’ door-slamming-hide-the-body style of comedy that requires perfect timing.”

Dayton City Paper

“Perry’s energetic cast doesn’t contain any weak links…. The charming, slovenly handsome Curtis conveys Ryan with an edginess suggesting his troublemaker tendencies and an endearing sensitivity proving why Courtney found him attractive in the first place.”
